Attitude Is The X Factor Of Success

HELLLOOOO My Convert2Medians!
I’m back. Yes, the loud mouthed, in your face, often thought as an egotistical “A-hole” of the CPA Industry makes a return to the blogging world. In all that mumbo jumbo aside, I admit it. I’ve been on a blogging hiatus for a couple of months. What may have seemed like forever to some of you seemed even longer for me. Employees, contracts, new companies, trade shows, 92 lbs of weight lost in 2010 brought me to a point of where I just didnt want to write. I know, it seems like a crime. What can I say, I’ve been busy but can admit, I’ve been lazy on the blogging front. One of the reasons is that a lot of stuff was going on and I didnt know what I could or could not be talking about on this blog. Well, that is beyond us now, and these hands well, they have ALOT they want to express this year.
First I would like to cover attitude. I want to talk about attitude right now! I want to talk about it because quite frankly I had an epiphany over the last year that a lot of things I thought contributed to success aren’t as important as your attitude. Now I didnt say they WERE NOT important, I just said not AS important.
Good Mood VS Bad Mood:
Love what you do. Love the fact you get to work online. Love that you had the opportunity to do something a lot of people cant or wont do. Love the fact you can wake up each morning and pull your head out of your ass and learn more each day to further your business. Love the fact you are more motivated and dedicated than most people to make a better life for yourself. Love the fact I’m here telling you this when others wont.
Being in a good mood is vital. For me, my escape is working out. From February 1st 2010 to December 1st 2010 I lost 92 lbs. I’ve never felt better in my life and at this point, I’m back to gaining weight (bulking) and bodybuilding. This one change in my life (my health) has put me in a better mood than I thought imaginable. Check it, Ruck wakes up each day 6 days a week and puts in over 3 hrs daily now in exercise. Cardio and weights. Sometimes I skip, especially if I am sore but working out has been a release of stress for me, makes me look better and most importantly I’m energized all day, every day to work. I enjoy my work. I was to a point where it wasnt fun anymore and my productivity suffered greatly.
Find whatever makes you feel good and make sure to do it and do it often. Your attitude everyday is going to determine how your days go. Bad moods breed negativity and negativity breeds low morale. When you are in business for yourself, you cannot afford that. I’ve been online for over 6 years now. I’ve had ups and down, I continue to have ups and downs and I will always have them. However, how you perceive them, how you react to them and ultimately how you deal with them will be the deciding factor in how, if and when you get past them.
If you fall, pick yourself up. Sounds cliche I know. I cannot count how many affiliates I’ve seen fall and disappear this year. It’s sad really. I actually know some who have given up completely. The attitude they brought to the table was that when times we good, they would always be like this and they rode the wave. All waves crash down, that’s what happened and as a network owner I’ve had my fair share of seeing absolutely monster revenue generating affiliates flush it all down the toilet because they didnt have the “keep building” attitude. It’s funny, when your up, it’s never as good as you think and when you’re down, you never think you will be up again. It’s not the offers, it’s not the campaigns, it’s not the traffic sources…It’s you.
Bring a good attitude with you every day. I cannot tell you how much of a difference in makes in this business. For some, a good attitude is all they have. From starting affiliates to the seasoned pro’s, everyone eventually realizes that it’s YOU, that you have to rely on.
More to come in the coming days, I’m just getting back and getting started. (Wink).

Thats bad ass man. Are you even human? damn…..
Welcome back to blogging. I need to get back into it as well. Good to see that things are going well for you!
Hell yeah brotha
Well said Ruck! Staying positive is definitely a key to success and just living a happy life. Like you, I find that working out regularly has a big impact on my mood. You just can’t beat the feeling after a good workout.
Great advice Ruck! Looking forward to more insightful posts from ya
Ruck you are my hero!
Hey Ruck, good to see you’re back. I’m one of those affiliates that crashes a lot. Work a month, crash… Work a month, crash…
For me the reason is the feeling of not having a reason to work. I think it’s important to have a reason. Like what are you doing it for?
My social life is not how I would like it to be so that’s the reason why I always crash. I’ve tried a things before but they didn’t work. Now it seems like I finally found something that works for me: Toastmasters.
Anyway, IMO having other areas of your life taken care of is also important contributor to success. If you try to be successful in business while other (equally important or more important) areas of you life are laking, then it’s hard to keep going without fail.
Al least for me it works like that. I can ignore the lacking parts of my life for some time. But they always keep coming back demanding that I do something about them.
Well said Ruck.
This could not have come at a better time, you have no idea how freaking frustrated I have been over the past year. I definitely love the work, but I just need to get something to stick.
Thanks for the attitude adjustment!
Congratulations on your weight loss. That’s a hard thing to do.
I see this power come in throughout C2M.
Ruck you are a god amongst small children.
Great post, Ruckles! I’m damn glad to see you blogging again. Your stuff from the CashTactics days really helped me do some numbers (as you know
).
Matt – I had quite a few setbacks in 2010 – and they hurt. Like a punch in the gut. But I just gritted my teeth, grabbed my dick, and worked harder, longer, and smarter. Lately things are looking better and more stable then they ever have been. It’ll come around for you. Don’t ever give up!
you rock man!!!
