An atomic bomb on the industry?

Yeah, right…

I say, get over yourself.

P.S. I’m sure this post won’t even make the board.

You’ve thrown down the gauntlet. I have heard it all before - all of the networks say they really work hard on getting fraudulent pubs kicked out or not allowed in. However, in the short term the complicit networks rake $$$ on fraud, claim ignorance, turn and burn one advertiser after another and so on and so on. The ultimate loser is the advertiser and the consumer. The scamming publisher rakes on the short term, the networks are really at the center of it all. From your expose’ it appears the this is really an industry wide issue - whether people like it or not. I’m going direct and dealing with pubs - the “we don’t allow fraud (wink wink)” networks are not thinking long term. To maintain a viable business model you cannot let fraud in or advertisers will get wind of the deal and move on. In reading through the list I know personally there are networks listed that care about the advertisers, and many that could care less.
This is a very complex issue and it is not going to go away quietly.

@ anonymous - From the looks of your comment, I can tell you are either a poser, or truly someone that doesn’t have a clue. If you werent or had then you would understand exactly what ppc.bz is and what he meant. Either way, it’s apparent you have zero balls.

How’s the weather in St. Petersburg dipshit?

LMAO. Classic post (and comeback in the comments).

I know I busted your balls a little bit on my blog for lowering the affiliate payouts, but that’s just the way I am.

Ballsy post here, though. I like.

I must say, your network is the first to bust me. Steve is at the top of the game. I knew better than to call Ruck. From this point on we aren’t doing any approvals at c2m. I have got other accounts approved, but it gets harder and harder everyday. Of course I am only one of several people doing these approvals.

We are not in this list neither is Copeac from what I take it. This is just one list turned into us from MANY people hired to get network approvals. No idea why a network is listed, and why one is not.

A show about fraud to promote our network? No plans on such a thing unless people let us know they will buy tickets.

@ Anon - spoken from a true source everyone. I have no idea who commented that or why but I do appreciate the help you have given us so far and know that we will never disclose any of your details. Ever.

I don’t know exactly the point of this list, but I go through an extensive process to detect fraud and deny users in my network. I only approve people based on personal referral.

I also have a history of blackhat, and every form of it like you said. But I’ve since dropped that, and when owning a network quality needs to be of utmost importance. If you start sending bad leads - you lose advertisers and relationships.

I was surprised to see my private network even in this list, maybe that explains the influx of obnoxious scammers trying to get in. Just my 2c.

I agree with Beernuts, ROIShare should be on this list, even if it is postmortem!

@ Ryan Eagle if you want some tips on how to keep the fraud applications from entering your network give me a shout sometime. I would be glad to help ya out. I am pretty good at keeping the scumbags out. Hit me up on AIM or my cell.

Nice catch.. I bet it’s not a huge problem for networks with less than 500 pubs but it is definitely helpful information for some networks. Always good info Ruck, good read.

This is really interesting. I had a feeling this was happening as I’ve seen an influx of fraudulent publishers applying so we’ve been tightening down our approval process. Thanks for letting everyone know.
