Steve, Ryan and I will all be at the Affiliate Summit starting on Sunday. If you would like to meet up just send me or them an email and we will get in some face time. The Summit is very important for us as well as the direction of the company and network. While we will not have a booth there as it is our first summit, we will get the rundown of what’s going on what to do so that in Vegas in January we will be prepared.
If you are going and would like to meet up just contact us!

In the previous post about utilizing Alexa to find sites to advertise on we had a comment:
It would be nice if you post some email example on how to get webmasters to sell their adv spot for cheap!
This is pretty straight-forward really. Focus on the offer first and foremost. There’s two ways to do this:
1. Find the traffic on a site related to a vertical you have an idea of
2. Find an offer and know exactly what you want to go for.
I prefer to know exactly what offer I have so when I get to Alexa, I dont get lost in the maze of shit they have piled up all over that site. I head straight into the categories of what my offer is related to and I started hovering my little mouse over the site information. I take note of the site information and simply copy/paste it into notepad.
After compilation of a dozen or so sites and/or related sites I start navigating to them looking specifically at the site layout and making note of where the advertising on the site is. If all looks good I go to the Advertise or Contact page and send out a simple:
Hi such and such,
This is Ruck from Convert2Media.com. We are a full service CPA Affiliate Network and we manage a lot of advertising for various clients. I came across your site today and like the feel of it and was wondering if you would be interesting in allowing me to advertise on it? I can pay you upfront as well.
Regards.
Now you can get a bit craftier if you want to but I dont. I keep it really general and I let them know I can pay them right off the bat. Usually if/when you get a reply, it will probably be something like:
I might possibly be interested, what did you have in mind?
If they respond then you know they are somewhat interested so it’s just a matter of working out a deal with them. Let them know that you are serious and that you are possibly considering a monthly long-term deal with them. As always, the more secure you make the webmaster feel about getting paid easily and possibly on a reoccuring basis, the more likely you are going to snag some virtual real-estate.
